About this tool
Turn the white background of a signature, logo, scan or product shot into transparency. Each pixel is split into the background color and the color on top of it, so anti-aliased edges keep their real color instead of leaving a light halo.
White is the default, but any solid color works: click the image to pick it. Choose “Around the subject” to remove only the background that touches the border, so white areas inside the subject stay. The result is a PNG or WebP with transparency.

Questions and answers
How do I make a signature transparent?
Photograph or scan the signature on plain white paper, drop it here and download the PNG. If the paper looks gray or yellow, raise the tolerance until it disappears completely.
Why are there still light pixels around my logo?
Keep “Clean up edges” switched on and raise the edge softness a little. That takes the background color out of the soft edge pixels.
Can I remove a black or colored background?
Yes. Click the background in the preview to pick its color, or type the color code. Any solid, evenly lit background works.
