About this tool

Cut a photo down to the part you want. Drag the crop box or its corners, pick a ready-made aspect ratio such as 1:1, 4:5, 16:9 or 9:16, or type the exact width, height and position in pixels. The numbers and the box always stay in sync.

Rotate in 90° steps and flip horizontally or vertically before cropping, then save as JPG, PNG or WebP, or keep the original format. Zoom in with the buttons, a pinch or Ctrl + scroll to place the edges precisely.

  • Works on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
  • Free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
  • No limits on file count or size beyond what your device can handle.

Questions and answers

How do I crop to an exact size in pixels?

Type the width and height under “Crop area”, then drag the box into place or type its X and Y position. Choose “Free” first if the size doesn’t match one of the ratios.

Does cropping reduce image quality?

No. Cropping only removes pixels at the edges; the pixels you keep are not resampled. Saving as JPG re-encodes the image, so choose PNG or a high quality if you need it untouched.

Can I crop to a custom aspect ratio?

Yes. Choose “Custom” and enter any ratio, such as 5:7 or 2.35:1. The box keeps that shape while you resize it.

Is Crop Image free?

Yes. Every tool on ImgImage is free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many files you process.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Your files are processed by your own browser and never leave your device. Nothing you open here is sent to a server.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. It works in any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers. Large files are processed faster on a computer.
