Privacy Policy

The short version: your images never leave your device. We don’t use accounts, ads or tracking cookies, and we only see anonymous page-view statistics.

Who is responsible

This website is run by ImgImage. For anything about your data, write to [email protected].

Your files

Every tool on ImgImage runs in your web browser. When you choose, drop or paste a file, it is read and processed on your own device. Your files are never uploaded to us or to anyone else, and we have no way to see them.

This is enforced by your browser, not only promised by us: every page is served with a Content Security Policy that only allows connections to this website and to our analytics provider’s statistics endpoint described below, and none of our code sends file contents anywhere.

Some tools download extra components the first time you use them, such as text-recognition data or an image model. These are downloaded from this website to your browser and kept there for next time. Nothing travels the other way.

Hosting and delivery

The website is hosted on and delivered through the network of Cloudflare, Inc. To send you a page, Cloudflare necessarily processes technical information about each request: your IP address, the address of the page, the referring page, your browser’s user agent and the time. Cloudflare uses this to deliver the site quickly and to protect it against attacks and abuse, and it may keep short-lived logs for these purposes. These requests never contain your images.

Cloudflare acts as our service provider (processor) under its data processing terms. It may process this information outside your country, including in the United States; for transfers from Europe it relies on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (and its UK and Swiss extensions) and on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

Legal basis (for visitors in the EU, EEA and UK): our legitimate interest in running a secure, reliable website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used: how many pages are viewed, which tools are popular, which websites send visitors, from which countries, with which kinds of browsers and devices, and how fast pages load. A small script from Cloudflare reports this when a page is viewed.

According to Cloudflare, Web Analytics does not use cookies or local storage to track visitors, does not fingerprint you by your IP address or browser, and does not follow individuals across websites. We only see totals and cannot identify you. The script never has access to your images.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in improving the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). If you prefer not to be counted, a content blocker will stop the script; every tool keeps working exactly the same.

What we don’t do

  • No accounts, sign-ups or email collection.
  • No advertising, and no advertising or social-media trackers.
  • No tracking cookies. See the cookie policy.
  • No selling or renting of personal data, no sharing beyond the service provider named on this page, and no profiling.

Settings stored in your browser

To remember your preferences, the site saves a few values in your browser’s storage, such as your language and appearance, your favorite tools, the last settings you used in a tool, a ruler calibration or the place you chose in Golden Hour. Tools that use AI or text recognition also keep their downloaded models in your browser so they don’t download again. All of this stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can delete it at any time by clearing this site’s data in your browser. The cookie policy lists the details.

Camera and location

A few tools can use your camera (for example, the Camera and Photo Booth tools) or your location (Golden Hour). Your browser asks for permission first. The camera picture and your location are used on your device only and are never sent anywhere.

How long data is kept

We don’t keep any personal data ourselves. Cloudflare keeps request logs and analytics data only as long as described in its own policies; the analytics we see are aggregated totals.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Because we don’t hold data that identifies you, there is usually nothing for us to look up, but we will gladly help with any request, including about processing by Cloudflare on our behalf. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

The site does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
