About this tool
Give an SVG file new width and height attributes without turning it into pixels. The drawing stays vector, and a viewBox is added when the file doesn’t have one, so the graphic scales cleanly to the new size.
Resize by exact pixels, by percentage, or by width or height only. If you unlock the proportions, choose whether the drawing stretches to fill the new shape or stays centered at its own proportions.
- Works on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
- Free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
- No limits on file count or size beyond what your device can handle.
Questions and answers
Does resizing an SVG reduce its quality?
No. An SVG is made of shapes, not pixels, so it stays sharp at any size. Only the size it is displayed at changes.
Why didn’t my SVG change size before?
SVGs without a viewBox can’t scale: changing their size just crops or pads the drawing. This tool adds the missing viewBox so the drawing scales with the new dimensions.
Is Resize SVG free?
Yes. Every tool on ImgImage is free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many files you process.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Your files are processed by your own browser and never leave your device. Nothing you open here is sent to a server.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It works in any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers. Large files are processed faster on a computer.
