About this tool
Place one image on top of another: a logo on a photo, a cutout on a new background or a texture over a picture. Drag the top image into place, resize it from a corner and turn it with the rotate handle.
Make the top image partly transparent or mix it in with a blend mode such as Multiply or Screen. The result is saved at the full size of the background image.
- Works on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
- Free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
- No limits on file count or size beyond what your device can handle.
Questions and answers
How do I put a PNG with a transparent background on a photo?
Drop the photo first, then the PNG. The transparent parts of the PNG let the photo show through, so only the subject appears on top.
Can I make the top image cover the whole background?
Yes. Click Fill and it is scaled to cover the background completely; drag it to choose which part shows.
Is the result as large as my original photo?
Yes. The preview is a smaller copy for speed, but the download uses the background image at its full resolution.
Is Overlay Images free?
Yes. Every tool on ImgImage is free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many files you process.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Your files are processed by your own browser and never leave your device. Nothing you open here is sent to a server.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It works in any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers. Large files are processed faster on a computer.
