- Choose side by side, slider, difference or overlay view.
- Adjust the tolerance to ignore tiny compression changes, and download the view if you need it.
About this tool
Put two images next to each other, drag a slider across them, fade one over the other, or see exactly which pixels differ in a heat map. A similarity score and the share of matching pixels tell you how close the two versions are.
Useful for checking edits, comparing compression settings, spotting changes between screenshots, or finding the difference between two nearly identical photos. Images of different sizes can be stretched, fitted or aligned.
- Works on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
- Free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
- No limits on file count or size beyond what your device can handle.
Questions and answers
How is the similarity calculated?
It is 100% minus the average color difference between matching pixels. Matching pixels counts how many differ by less than the tolerance you set.
Can I compare images of different sizes?
Yes. B can be stretched to A’s size, fitted inside it, or placed at its original size at the top left or in the center.
Is Compare Images free?
Yes. Every tool on ImgImage is free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many files you process.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Your files are processed by your own browser and never leave your device. Nothing you open here is sent to a server.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It works in any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers. Large files are processed faster on a computer.
