About this tool
See everything stored inside a photo: camera and lens, shutter speed, aperture, ISO and focal length, the date it was taken, GPS location, color profile, IPTC captions and XMP editing data. Values are shown with clear names and readable units.
It reads JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, TIFF and many camera RAW files. Copy or download all metadata as JSON, and check the embedded thumbnail, which can still show a version of the picture from before it was cropped.
- Works on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
- Free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
- No limits on file count or size beyond what your device can handle.
Questions and answers
Why does my photo show no EXIF data?
Screenshots and images saved by many apps or websites contain little or no metadata, and social networks usually remove it when you upload.
Can I remove the metadata I see here?
Yes. Use the Remove Metadata tool to strip camera details, dates and location from one or many photos without lowering their quality.
Is EXIF Viewer free?
Yes. Every tool on ImgImage is free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many files you process.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Your files are processed by your own browser and never leave your device. Nothing you open here is sent to a server.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It works in any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers. Large files are processed faster on a computer.
