How big is the seamless tile?
A square checkerboard tile holds two squares in each direction, so it is twice the square size. A diamond tile is exactly the chosen size.
Can I make a chessboard?
Yes. Set the square size to one eighth of your image width and use a square image size; an 800 × 800 px image with 100 px squares gives an 8 × 8 board.
