How to use Brightness

  1. Choose or drop your images. You can add several at once.
  2. Adjust the settings and check the preview.
  3. Download the result, or every file at once as a ZIP.

About this tool

Make a photo brighter or darker with one slider. The adjustment follows a smooth curve that moves the midtones the most, so pure black and pure white stay where they are and nothing gets clipped or washed out.

Add several images to brighten a whole set the same way, compare each one with the before-and-after slider, and download them together as a ZIP.

  • Works on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
  • Free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
  • No limits on file count or size beyond what your device can handle.

Questions and answers

Why don’t the whites turn gray when I darken a photo?

The curve keeps both ends fixed: black stays black and white stays white, while everything in between moves. That keeps the image clean instead of flat.

What is the difference between brightness and exposure?

Brightness mainly shifts the midtones. Exposure works like a camera setting and scales all the light in the image, measured in stops, which also moves the highlights.

Can I brighten many photos at once?

Yes. Add as many images as you like; the same setting is applied to all of them when you download.

Is Brightness free?

Yes. Every tool on ImgImage is free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many files you process.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Your files are processed by your own browser and never leave your device. Nothing you open here is sent to a server.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. It works in any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers. Large files are processed faster on a computer.
