About this tool

Remove the empty space around PNG cut-outs, icons and exported graphics. The tool finds the visible content of every image and crops tightly around it, for as many files as you add.

Raise the opacity threshold to also trim faint shadows and halos, add padding to keep a little room around the content, or trim a solid background color instead of transparency.

  • Works on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
  • Free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
  • No limits on file count or size beyond what your device can handle.

Questions and answers

Why is there still space around my image after trimming?

Some pixels are almost, but not completely, transparent. Raise “Ignore pixels below this opacity” to trim them too.

Can I trim white space around a JPG?

Yes. Choose “Edge color”. The color of the top-left pixel is treated as background and trimmed, with a tolerance for slight variations.

Is Trim Transparent Pixels free?

Yes. Every tool on ImgImage is free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many files you process.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Your files are processed by your own browser and never leave your device. Nothing you open here is sent to a server.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. It works in any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers. Large files are processed faster on a computer.
