  3. Download the animated GIF.

About this tool

Cut a sprite sheet into frames and play them as an animated GIF. Set the number of columns and rows or the size of one frame, plus any margin and spacing, and the grid is drawn over the sheet so you can check it.

Empty cells are skipped automatically. Choose the frame rate, play it forward and back if you like, and scale it up with sharp pixels for pixel art.

  • Works on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
  • Free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
  • No limits on file count or size beyond what your device can handle.

Questions and answers

My frames are cut in the wrong places. What should I change?

Check the number of columns and rows first. If the sheet has a border or gaps between frames, set Margin and Spacing to their size in pixels.

How do I keep pixel art crisp?

Leave “Sharp pixels” on and use a whole-number scale such as 2× or 4×.

Is Sprite Sheet to GIF free?

Yes. Every tool on ImgImage is free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many files you process.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Your files are processed by your own browser and never leave your device. Nothing you open here is sent to a server.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. It works in any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers. Large files are processed faster on a computer.
