About this tool
Trace PNG logos, icons and flat artwork into clean SVG paths. Transparent areas stay transparent, and the background around a logo can be removed automatically when the PNG has a solid backdrop.
Use the Logo preset for flat colors, or Line art for black-and-white drawings, signatures and scans: a threshold turns the image into crisp black shapes on a transparent background. Small images are enlarged before tracing for smoother curves.
- Works on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
- Free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
- No limits on file count or size beyond what your device can handle.
Questions and answers
Why does my logo have hairline gaps between colors?
Keep Close gaps between shapes turned on. It adds a thin outline in each shape’s own color, which covers the tiny seams some viewers show between neighbouring shapes.
How do I vectorize a signature or a sketch?
Choose the Line art preset, move the threshold until the lines look solid, and keep Remove background on so only the dark strokes remain.
Can I edit the SVG afterwards?
Yes. Each color is one path element with a fill color, so you can recolor or edit the shapes in any vector editor or code editor.
Is PNG to SVG free?
Yes. Every tool on ImgImage is free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many files you process.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Your files are processed by your own browser and never leave your device. Nothing you open here is sent to a server.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It works in any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers. Large files are processed faster on a computer.
