About this tool
Turn almost any image into a JPG: PNG, WebP, AVIF, TIFF, BMP, GIF, PSD, SVG and camera RAW files all work (HEIC too, in Safari), and you can convert many at once. JPG opens everywhere, from old photo viewers to upload forms that refuse newer formats.
Transparent areas are filled with a background color you choose, and photo details such as the date taken and camera settings are carried over. GPS location is removed unless you choose to keep it.

Questions and answers
What quality should I choose?
The default of 90% looks the same as the original for almost every photo. Go down to 75–80% for smaller files on the web, or up to 95% if you plan to edit the result further.
Why does my PNG get a white background?
JPG can’t store transparency, so transparent pixels have to be filled with a color. White is the default, but you can pick any color under “Background”.
Are the date and camera details kept?
Yes, when the original has them. The date taken, camera, lens and exposure settings are copied into the JPG. GPS location is only kept if you turn on “Keep GPS location”.
