Questions and answers
Can I make an animated GIF from several JPGs?
Yes. Add all the photos at once or one by one, drag them into the right order and set the frame delay. Every photo becomes a frame of the animation.
Why does my GIF have fewer colors than the photo?
GIF can store at most 256 colors per frame. Turn on dithering for smoother gradients and skin tones, at the cost of a slightly larger file.
What happens if the photos have different sizes?
All frames share one size. Choose Fit to show every photo whole with a background around it, Fill to crop the edges, or Stretch to fill the frame exactly.
Is JPG to GIF free?
Yes. Every tool on ImgImage is free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many files you process.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Your files are processed by your own browser and never leave your device. Nothing you open here is sent to a server.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It works in any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers. Large files are processed faster on a computer.
