What is the difference between Sobel and Canny?
Sobel measures how strongly brightness changes at every pixel, giving soft, varying lines. Canny thins those lines to one pixel and keeps only connected, significant edges.
How do I get fewer, cleaner lines?
Use Canny, raise the smoothing and lower the detail. For line art, choose black on white.
