About this tool
Soften a photo with a smooth Gaussian blur, an even box blur, or a motion blur that streaks the image in any direction. The radius is measured in pixels of your original image, and transparent edges blur correctly without dark halos.
Blur works well for backgrounds, placeholders and privacy. To hide only part of a picture, such as a face or license plate, use the Pixelate or Blur Face tools.

Questions and answers
Can a blurred image be un-blurred?
A strong blur destroys fine detail, so it can’t be reversed. For hiding sensitive information, a large radius or pixelation is safest.
What does the motion blur angle do?
It sets the direction of the streaks: 0° is horizontal and 90° is vertical.
