How to use Base64 to Image

  1. Paste your Base64 text or data URI, or open a text file that contains it.
  2. Check the preview and the detected format and size.
  3. Download the image in its original format, or as PNG or JPG.

About this tool

Paste a Base64 string or a data URI and see the image right away. The format is detected from the decoded data itself, so it works even when the type in the data URI is wrong or missing, and you can download the file in its original format or as PNG or JPG.

It also accepts URL-safe Base64, text with line breaks, CSS url(…) values, HTML image tags and SVG data URIs.

  • Works on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
  • Free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
  • No limits on file count or size beyond what your device can handle.

Questions and answers

Why does it say the data is incomplete?

Long Base64 strings are easy to cut off when copying. If the image header is there but the rest is missing, the type is recognized but the picture can’t be decoded. Copy the whole string again.

Do I need to remove the “data:image/png;base64,” part?

No. You can paste the full data URI or only the Base64 text after the comma; both work.

Is Base64 to Image free?

Yes. Every tool on ImgImage is free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many files you process.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. It works in any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers. Large files are processed faster on a computer.
