About this tool

Level a tilted horizon or straighten leaning buildings. Drag along a line in the photo that should be level or upright and it is corrected instantly, or fine-tune the angle with the slider while the grid helps you judge.

Auto straighten looks for the strongest straight lines in the picture and levels them for you. Empty corners are cropped away automatically, keeping the original proportions.

  • Works on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
  • Free, with no sign-up and no watermark.
  • No limits on file count or size beyond what your device can handle.

Questions and answers

Why is the straightened photo slightly smaller?

Rotating leaves empty triangles in the corners. They are cropped away so the result is a clean rectangle with the same proportions. Turn cropping off to keep the whole picture instead.

Can I straighten vertical lines too?

Yes. Drag along a line that should be upright, such as a wall or a pole, and it is made exactly vertical.

Is Straighten free?

Yes. Every tool on ImgImage is free to use, with no sign-up, no watermark and no limit on how many files you process.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Your files are processed by your own browser and never leave your device. Nothing you open here is sent to a server.

Does it work on my phone?

Yes. It works in any modern browser on phones, tablets and computers. Large files are processed faster on a computer.
